After work by another contractor

Work carried out by someone else? Let’s review it.

Has another company carried out radon mitigation work, and would you like to check the situation? Send the initial results and a description of the system so we can prepare an appropriate assessment.

Describe my situation
01

Review the work carried out

The initial report, description of the work and operating instructions help prepare the discussion. Specify the commissioning date, the rooms concerned and any changes to ventilation.

Photographs of the system and any available monitoring results are useful. You can attach them after the first contact.

02

Identify the checks needed

Depending on the available documents and your objective, we may propose technical concentration monitoring, an operational assessment or a recognised measurement using passive detectors.

If further investigations or adjustments are needed, they are defined in the quotation. The initial result alone does not determine the scope of the assessment.

03

Arrange the measurement campaign

The selected rooms, occupancy and system operation are agreed before the campaign. Conditions are documented so the results can be interpreted.

Confirmation through a recognised measurement is arranged according to the protocol and schedule applicable to the type of premises.

04

Explain the results and next steps

Results are interpreted in the light of the methods, periods and measurement conditions. Where sufficient information is available, they are compared with the initial situation.

We explain the findings and the next useful step: maintaining operation, further investigation or proposed adjustments.

Your questions

Should the system be switched off during testing?

Do not change how it operates without instructions from the person responsible for the measurement. The required conditions must be agreed before testing begins.

Which documents should I send?

The initial report, a description of the work and, if available, operating instructions and monitoring results.
