Your project and your canton

Radon service areas and cantonal guidance

Robert Gaisch is based in Corcelles (NE). Tell us your building’s municipality so we can clarify the arrangements. The same process covers the initial assessment, survey and, if needed, mitigation with monitoring of the results.

Describe my situation
Map of the Swiss cantons. Neuchâtel, where Corcelles is located, is yellow. The other cantons covered on this page are purple: Vaud, Geneva, Fribourg, Jura, Valais and Bern.
Yellow: Neuchâtel, where Stop-Radon is based. Purple: the other cantons covered here. Service arrangements to be confirmed for your project. Base map: © swisstopo, swissBOUNDARIES3D (simplified boundaries).
01

Neuchâtel

SENE provides cantonal information on radon and a commitment form for the project owner. If your enquiry relates to a permit or change of use, attach the documents you have received and describe the rooms that will be occupied.

02

Vaud

DGE provides information for property and project owners, including a radon factsheet. Use the current cantonal documents for your project and specify any planned work on floors, windows or ventilation.

03

Geneva

The canton includes radon among hazardous substances in buildings and addresses prevention in its 2025–2030 action plan. Historical measurement campaigns cannot establish the current concentration in your home.

04

Fribourg

The State of Fribourg brings together measurement and construction guidance on its radon page. This general information should be considered alongside your property’s characteristics: occupied floor, basement use, ventilation and any existing results.

05

Jura

SCAV publishes a directive, a permit-related form and information on passive detectors. If you are planning alterations, keep the documents requested by the authorities. A Stop-Radon quotation and the services offered by the canton are separate arrangements.

06

Valais

SCAV provides access to measurement documents and the cantonal directive. Specify whether the building is a home, a school or a workplace: the measurement approach must suit the premises. A residential protocol should not be applied indiscriminately to every building.

07

Bern / Bernese Jura

The cantonal laboratory refers to a measurement map and permit documents, including the Rn form supplied by the municipality. These resources provide context; a map cannot replace measurements in the rooms of your building.

Your questions

Is your municipality not mentioned here?

Describe your situation and give the building’s municipality. Robert can confirm whether he can undertake the work and clarify the project arrangements.

An initial discussion

What about your
building?

A measurement, a result, a question. Let’s start there.
